I cannot remember the last time i went on a relaxing holiday, i always go for big cities and i find myself stressed out because i just want to see everything before going home. Maybe its just me, but the thought of not getting to know everything that is a “Must see” gives me some sort of anxiety, and we always end up running around all day.
Over the last couple of days me and my housemate travelled to Marseille, in France. I had heard of it before but i had no idea how utterly breath taking Marseille would be. We’ve stayed at an Aparthotel in city, I can safely say that this is the nicest and cheapest hotel that i have ever stayed in abroad. We had a studio with everything we needed, from a clean kitchen to a modern bedroom. The staff was so welcoming and ready to help at any time, all the rooms were noise proof which even though we were in a busy road we couldn’t hear much.
On one of the days we were there, we popped to the Calanques which was incredible, although slightly scary as we had rock climb to get to the actual beach. The beach itself was so pretty and the water was so clear, i had never seen anything so cristal clear before. The only thing I will say, is that is slightly dificult to relax over there as the sand is not thin but actual big ol’ rocks and the water is cold as ice. But anyway, we still made the most of it and managed to dip our toes in the sea.
It was really nice to get away for a few days and spend some quality time with my best friend, it was so fun and relaxing. I am now writing this blog post with post-holiday blues. Marseille is a must go city, and i will certainly go back!
